Clinical Services

Dr. Thompson offers comprehensive Psychodiagnostic Assessments designed to gain a deeper understanding of an individual’s emotional, social, and cognitive functioning.

Assessments provide valuable insights into areas such as learning challenges, emotional well-being, and developmental concerns. Whether for educational support, personal growth, or treatment planning, our assessments are tailored to meet each individual's unique needs, helping guide effective interventions and strategies for success.

These comprehensive assessments address a wide range of referral concerns, providing psychodiagnostic clarity. Our thorough evaluations help identify and understand psychological conditions, offering clear insights into an individual’s mental health. (merges these two sentences somehow) By uncovering underlying issues, we guide accurate diagnoses and develop personalized treatment plans to ensure effective support and care.

The process begins with a 60-minute initial consultation. During this session, you'll have the opportunity to share details about the concerns that brought you in for an evaluation. We will review the details of your concerns, explain our process, and provide an overview of our practice. We will also obtain your formal consent to move forward with the evaluation. The cost for the initial consultation is $175, which will be applied as a credit toward any future evaluation services.

Dr. Thompson will clearly explain the scope, duration, and objectives of the recommended assessment, ensuring it aligns with your goals and expectations. This discussion will also cover the associated costs and any preparation required on your part. The initial consultation fee of $175 will be credited toward any subsequent evaluation services you choose to pursue.

In group therapy, on the other hand, Dr. Thompson brings individuals together to share and support one another in a safe environment. It emphasizes the power of community and collective experiences, allowing participants to learn from each other and gain different perspectives on similar issues. Both approaches have distinct benefits and can be effective in promoting healing and personal growth.

Following our 60-minute initial consultation, we will collaboratively determine the most appropriate evaluation approach tailored to your specific needs. Based on the information gathered and the concerns you've shared, we will discuss and outline the recommended assessment strategy, which may include:

  • Comprehensive Psychoeducational Assessment: Designed to provide an in-depth understanding of an individual's cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning. This thorough evaluation is beneficial for addressing complex concerns and formulating detailed treatment or educational plans.

  • Focused Assessment: If your concerns are specific and targeted, a focused assessment may be appropriate. This streamlined evaluation hones in on particular areas, such as cognitive abilities, academic skills, or specific behavioral observations, providing concise and relevant information.
